Refrigerator art

13 Nov

Little T brought home his first artwork yesterday!  Granted, some of the pages barely had any coloring on them, but still – we have our first artwork for the refrigerator!  Of course, I also had to bring a particularly colorful piece of artwork in for my office, and to show off.  Seriously, not every 14 month old is this talented, right?  Okay, I’m kidding, I know he’s not the next Michaelangelo.  I’ll post a picture later and you can decide for yourself.

Still, it strikes me sometimes that he’s not a “baby” anymore.  He has his own thoughts, feelings, and definite ideas about what he wants to do and when.  He wants to get the cookies out of the cabinet, not the crackers (or “gra-ga” as he says) and he wants to read the book about animals and not the Mickey Mouse book.  The approaching holidays have me thinking about last year, when he was barely 3 months old.  He could barely sit up if supported.  He had just learned to gurgle and squeal.  The jumperoo was the most sophisticated toy he had ever seen.  Now I think we need to get him a jungle gym or some type of outdoor playground equipment so he can spend some energy and quit crawling and jumping on Daddy so much.  He talks, he sings, he dances, he pitches a fit if he doesn’t get his way.  We’ve definitely entered Toddlerhood.  Oh boy.

    I wanna see!

He’s definitely not a baby. I think it’s funny the examples that you gave. You should record that kind of stuff. You do have a baby book right? Get to writing! LOL

You got the email at home with the pictures?? 🙂
